Lincoln Paleo Group hike Saturday.
Friend of mine took this photo of me last week. Very pleasantly surprised that I don’t necessarily look morbidly obese all the time nowadays. Regardless of what the BMI still says. :)
Paleo / Primal / Caveman “diet” update: I’m 1 pound above my record low. Probably thanks to lots of #fitbit hiking around Austin last week. (Probably not thanks to all the drinking in Austin last week :)
Co-incidentally, #PrimalCon Austin 2013 fired up right as #YAPC::NA 2013 was wrapping up! I didn’t even know it existed until I saw some tweets about it.
Also, Paleo People product ordering is on hold?? Boo! Love that stuff, and jones-ing for it bad now that I can’t order it!
-sigh- My @PaleoPeople supply in Kansas City has dried up. Closest store now 244 miles away. Boo!
Contacted them, maybe they’ll make me a wholesaler? :)
Down 34 pounds and holding since I started the Paleo / Primal “diet.” Eating as much as I want of the approved foods. Not hungry like I was for decades. Dropped 22 pounds through excessive walking around Asia for a month, followed by 2 weeks of vicious food poisoning. Paleo didn’t take that weight off, but I completely credit Paleo for keeping it off. I’m 100% sure that if I ate low fat + grains daily I’d be back to 360 pounds (45 higher) in no time. Very grateful to Paleo / Primal / Mark Sisson and friends.
It’d be nice to hit 300, but I don’t think food alone will do it — I probably need to crank up the exercise here at home for a while, then hopefully Paleo would help me keep it off, even as a dude who sits on his ass all day for a living. :)
